Sorry, too clich\u00e9? This is my first post, so maybe I\u2019ll start by talking about myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hi! My name is Giuseppe<\/strong>. I\u2019m 24<\/strong> years old and currently working as a System Engineer<\/strong> at a German logistics company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my 9-to-5 job, I primarily work on a Windows-based infrastructure<\/strong> running on a VxRail<\/strong> cluster with virtual machines. We also provide user VMs to over 150 employees through Omnissa Horizon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the past, I played a key role in implementing an Identity and Access Management system (tenfold)<\/strong>. With this solution, we can now manage more than 250 user accounts and around 200 admin and system accounts efficiently and securely. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, we are now introducing a Privileged Access Management system (wallix)<\/strong>. With this, we are implementing a streamlined solution for both internal and external users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

System Engineer by Day \u2013 Homelabber by Night<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my free time, I\u2019m a passionate homelabber. A few of the systems I run include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Unraid Server<\/strong> \u2013 acting as my NAS and hosting services like Jellyfin, Bookstack, and Syncthing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 3-Node Proxmox Cluster<\/strong> \u2013 powering websites (including this one), domain infrastructure, SQL servers, and much more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • PBS-Server <\/strong>\u2013 based on an old Barracuda Web Security Gateway<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Repurposed Gaming PC<\/strong> \u2013 now running as a dedicated Steam machine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    All my projects are built with the mission of running on repurposed, affordable, or low-power components \u2014 perfect for private use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    For networking, I have to admit I\u2019m hooked on Ubiquiti<\/strong> (my personal \u201cApple of networking devices\u201d). Sorry, budget-build philosophy \u2014 here I\u2019ve betrayed you a little. These are certainly not low-cost, but they are definitely high-value components.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
